Pics T-B: Christmas like I remember it: tamales, rice, beans, enchiladas; Julio, Jr. listens to Uncle Julio tell stories of life back in Mexico; Mike talking with Aunt Vicky listening; Ginny and Grandpa Mullen laugh at something I can't remember; Grandma Mullen tells us how the story REALLY went
Christmas Eve was a fun day with the Garcia and Mullen families. Both sides, for the most part, live in McMinnville, about an hour west of Portland. We ate at Grandma Garcia's house in the afternoon and had snacks at Aunt Ginny's, across town, later in the evening.
We saw cousins that we hadn't seen in years (or, at all!) and caught up on each other's lives. We stayed longer than we should have and made our way home through the ice a little before midnight. Thank God for His protection when our car started slidin'!
