Christmas Times A Comin'

You may remember this post from last year at Sleighbells of Sherwood. Well, this year a much more energetic Anne-Marie joined Phil and I at Beck's U-Cut and Sheep Farm in Carver on Saturday.

We, along with Phil picked out a Christmas tree. For us it was a 7'-8" Noble Fir. Phil took home an unusual prize of a tree: an 8'-0" Nordmann Fir. A Nordmann is like is like a really bushy Grand Fir with needles that are green on the top and silver on the bottom.

It was so cold that it started snowing at one point during our search. We were grateful for the wreath shop's free hot chocolate to give us a reprieve between each tree.

As usual, Christmas tree farms take you father than you want to go, keep you longer than you want to stay, and make you spend more than you want to pay. We had to get a swag for the door and a bundle of holly and greenery trimmings for the house. But I've gotta remember that all of you that live outside the Great Pacific Northwest probably think that all of that for $60 is a steal.
