We were surprised today by an e-mail from Tami at Dove Adoptions that said that our children were scheduled for court on August 19, 2009! That means they should come home at the end of September!
This is a big surprise since the courts usually close for about six weeks in the summer. They've CANCELED THE COURT CLOSURE! This is a direct answer to prayer. It's never happened before and we've heard that it will not happen in the future. This decision will make Mariah and Elisha officially ours in August and let us come home with them several weeks earlier than we were originally told just four days ago!
Please pray that everything goes smoothly in the court process. It's very rare for anything to come up and for months our prayer has been to come home in early fall. We want those babies!
