Christmasy

I thought I would snitch on someone to kick off this special week.

Every December, my workplace puts a calendar up in the lunch room where people sign up to bring homemade treats. The days are all blank on the calendar and people put their name on the one day that they'll bring snacks for everyone in the company. It's each day Monday-Friday from the 12/1 to 12/24.

I strategically put my name on a day that would work for us: December 16th, last Wednesday. The day before, when all the treats were supposed to be made, Anne-Marie came down with the flu. It was really too bad, because she always makes stuff that people look forward to every year.

When she heard that Anne-Marie was sick and that she was supposed to make treats for my work, my sister-in-law, Kara, brought over some peanut butter fudge and toffee snacks she'd been making to take to my work. They were really good and I got all kinds of compliments even though they didn't even come from my house, but from someone who was just helping out and being kind.

Now, isn't that a Christmasy thing to do?
