My father-in-law will be going in for bypass surgery on Friday. Even though this is a very serious situation, the doctors are positive they can fix the problem through this routine operation.
Right now, Phil is in Alaska and will probably be recovering there for several weeks. Obviously, this changes holiday plans for the whole family. This is disappointing, but we all agree with the doctors that the urgency of the situation demands our flexibility.
Our family would appreciate your prayers for Phil. We desire God's peace through this season and that--regardless of the miles that separate us--we would draw closer to each other.
