We stayed in a beautiful Bed and Breakfast across the street from the Flavel House and three blocks from downtown Astoria. Our hostess Judith Taylor cooked us wonderful breakfasts both mornings. We especially enjoyed our conversation with the "I'm with Deb" summer lighthouse tour from Eugene, Oregon.
The house was built in 1888. It was bought for next to nothing by the Taylors fifteen years ago. They've done a lot of work to the house--just take a look at the paint job on the dormer pic.
We stayed on the main floor in the Garden Room. This room featured a view of the front cutting garden and an embossed tin ceiling. You can see what I'm talking about in the pictures.
Pics T-B: Clementines beautiful sign with stained glass inset (we could see the back side of this from the window of our room), the Garden Room, riverview dormer in the Sunriser Room (upstairs from us)
