Back "home" in Canby: here for a good time, not a long time

We have returned home from three days in Astoria.  I'll post pics later.  But it's time for a news flash.

***

Anne-Marie and I have decided to move to Pierce County, Washington.  We have been praying and talking about this decision for about seven years (really) and we are finally ready to make this change.

We have been involved in ministry work here in the Portland, Oregon, area at our home church in Oregon City, but we have the opportunity to take on new ministry challenges in the Puyallup/Tacoma area of Washington state at Life Church.  We're excited to follow what we believe God has called us to and look forward to meeting all kinds of new people that we know we'll fall in love with.

At the same time, we are very sad to be leaving our friends and family.  Leaving my employer, Western Wood Structures, and our church, OCUPC, is one of the hardest things I've personally ever done.  I love you all.

We say goodbye to everyone in Oregon at the end of next week, so you'll probably be hearing about it a lot more in the near future.

  1. Oh wow I didn't realize you were moving so soon. We will miss you and your sweet babies.

  2. Praying for you as you make this transition. We're going through a transition of our own, so can empathize with the mixture of excitement/sadness/anticipation/melancholy that goes right along with it. Sounds like you are leaning in close to hear God's leading. Keep that up & His blessings will follow.

Can't wait to hear about your new ministry!
